In a land known for its friendly people and welcoming hospitality, it’s amazing to think that even an island here is shaped just like a heart. Known as Tavarua, the island resort is a popular hub for activities around like surfing, sport fishing and snorkeling.
#2 Seahorse Island in the Galapagos
The seahorse has a name too, and it’s Isabela, the largest island in the Galapagos archipelago. Isabela Island is the formation of six active volcanoes that merged 1 million years ago.
#3 The Smiley Islands of Malaysia
Located in Peninsular Malaysia, the smiley face is made up of three islands called Manukan, Mamutik and Sulug. The islands have just as beautiful beaches with plenty of coral reefs.
#4 The Half Moon Island in Hawaii
Molokini is actually a volcanic cone that possesses rich marine life, with more than 200 species of fish. You might even spot a Whale Shark from this crescent-shaped island.
#5 The World Islands in Dubai
The man-made archipelago islands are meant to take the shape of the world map. The 300 islands began construction in 2003, with a break in 2008 due to the financial crisis. The project was picked up again in 2014 by “The Heart of Europe” project.
