The futuristic 787-9 Dreamliner began its route to Delhi, India just last October. Now, British Airways has just named Abu Dhabi the second destination for the Dreamliner. So yes, that explains why Margot Robbie is looking stunning (what else is new?) in Burberry at the Liwa Desert, Rub Al Khali. Although well, Margot is really Australian… but that’s not the important point here.
To mark the launch, an exclusive VIP party was thrown on Zaya Nurai Island just off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Guests also included Jessie J and Orlando Bloom. Margot was accompanied by British Airways pilots, many of whom flew the inaugural 787-9 Dreamliner flight from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi International Airport and Muscat International Airport.
The 787-9 features four cabins: World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), Club World (business class), and the new First cabin – which was created specifically for the aircraft. The new First suites were designed based on feedback from First customers to ensure comfort was at the heart of the experience. The eight suites feature 23-inch screens fitted for in-flight entertainment, an integral wardrobe for hanging up your coat, lots more compartments for storage and even a locker.
Not flying to Abu Dhabi nor Delhi? There’s still some good news. Kuala Lumpur will be added to the Dreamliner’s route next year, as will San Jose, California, a completely new and upcoming route for British Airways.
