You could argue, but Louis Vuitton luggage is the epitome of travelling in style. And paying tribute to its history is the “Volez, Vogues, Voyages” exhibition happening now till 21 February 2016 in the Grand Palais in Paris. Curated by fashion curator Olivier Saillardset, the exhibition showcases the milestones behind the luxury trunk-makers dating back to 1854.
Besides champagne, famous faces and French canapes, expect treasures dug deep from the archives like the first trunk designed in 1906, Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s antique personal collection, celebrity luggage and more. The exhibition is split into nine themes and spans nine rooms of the palace’s Salon d’Honneur.
But if you can’t make a trip to Paris right now, here’s a short clip on the Louis Vuitton story with some excellent visuals, not that we expected anything less than fashionable.
