These “Sneakairs” Have Vibrating Sensors That Guide You Around The City

Take all of our money! EasyJet has come up with “smart shoes” that navigate the wearer around a city. The kicks, called “Sneakairs”, have built-in vibrating sensors that guide your walk. Imagine this — your left shoes vibrates when you need to take a left turn, and likewise on your right. To get touring, you’ll need to pair your smartphone to your shoes via bluetooth, so your phone’s GPS system can tell your shoes where to take you. The mild vibrating sensations are said to be similar to that of your smartphone’s vibrating mode.

The shoes are still in the early mass production stages (giving you ample time to start saving up). A prototype of the “Sneakairs” was taken for a walk around Barcelona, to much success at guiding users to landmarks like Gaudi’s Casa La Pedrera and Casa Batllo.

Right now the shoes are taking an sporty orange route for its design, but once the airline really gets this project off the ground, we’d like a pair of comfy ballet flats.
