The time has come to start planning your photo assault on the cherry blossom trees of Japan. The second round of 2018’s official cherry blossom forecast has been released, with estimated dates for the first flowering and full bloom of cherry blossom trees across Japan.

If you fancy a flower tour, start at Tokyo – the flowering will begin the earliest there, on March 20. Head over to Yokohama for March 24, then hit up Kyoto the next week to catch the flowering on March 27 and end your grand tour in Hokkaido, where the blossoms will be making their first appearance by April 30.
