Start at Medici Italian Kitchen, Hotel Muse Bangkok
After winning Thailand Tatler’s ‘Best Italian’ category three years in a row, Medici underwent a slight revamp under the helm of new chef Bart Cywinsk, who lightened nonna’s rustic cuisine with a Mediterranean touch. Then head to Teens of Thailand
The name may sound a bit dodge but we promise you won’t regret it. Once you enter through the heavy intricate wooden doors, the decor is decidedly eclectic, the drinks gin-focused and delicious, and the vibe rockin’.
Or try FooJohn
The FooJohn building comprises Foudejoie, an unnamed bar, and a rooftop Smokehouse – make a beeline for the Prohibition-esqe cocktails at the said first floor bar for a couple of drinks. The nostalgic vibe recalls In The Mood for Love, and who wouldn’t want to pretend-play extra in a Wong Kar Wai film?

#3 Riverside
Start at The Never Ending Summer
Housed in an old warehouse converted by Thailand’s star architect Duangrit Bunnag, The Never Ending Summer serves authentic Thai cuisine, some dishes subbed with premium ingredients such as kurobuta pork. The space is minimalist, yet welcoming – full of natural light, with lush ferns hanging from the ceiling.
