Celebrating 20 years of food experiences, October marks the return of Sydney Good Food Month. This year the food festival is bringing back Hyde Park Palms, a pop up restaurant at Hyde Park while also running events at some of the best restaurants across Sydney. With a few heavy-hitting experiences already sold out, we’ve curated unmissable sessions that you should check out ASAP.
#1 Night Noodle Markets
When: 4-21 October 2018
Where: Hyde Park
Entry: Free
Undoubtedly one of the most popular highlights of Good Food Month, the Night Noodle Markets are back with a whopping 40 stalls taking over Hyde Park. The Asian street food fest will host the likes of Hoy Pinoy, Messina, Wonderbao, and Donut Papi. Pro tip: It’s worth rocking up to the markets early to beat the queues.

#2 Culinary Women of Influence
When: Thursday, 18 October 2018, 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Where: Hyde Park Palms
Tickets: $150 + transaction fee (includes 3 course sit-down dinner with Brand’s Laira wines and beer provided by James Squire)
Culinary Women of Influence is bringing together four prominent women in the Australian food industry. Diners will be treated to a three-course meal by Alia Glorie of Perth institution Billie H, Alanna Sapwell who until recently cheffed at Sydney’s Saint Peter, and Karena Armstrong of The Salopian Inn in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Momofuku Seiobo General Manager, Kylie Javier-Ashton will host this evening to remember.

#3 The Masters Series

Another favourite at Good Food Month each year, Let’s Do Lunch offers a collection of lunch experiences at Good Food Guide Hatted restaurants that won’t break the bank. At only $45 for a main course and a glass of wine at lauded restaurants like Sokyo, Pilu at Freshwater, and Bentley, it’s well worth a gander. See the menu here.
#5 California Soul

Injecting some Socal flavour into the mix, Good Food Month presents Jason Neroni whose experience spans from the iconic Chez Panisse to Spago in Beverly Hills. Together with Monty Koludrovic, Executive Chef of Icebergs at Bondi Beach, Neroni will introduce his Southern Californian flair to Sydney.
