The vibe
Tranquil. Serene. Peaceful. That’s how I would describe our stay at Bali’s newly opened REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort. Set upon the hills of Nusa Dua, the grounds consist of 16 beautiful Balinese-style luxury suites and villas, as well as a restaurant, pool, spa and fitness facilities. Upon entering the property, you are greeted by an incredible courtyard that opens up to the rooms and the pool. Surrounding the property is lush greenery, instilling an air of serenity that you don’t find in many places.

The room
We stayed in the beautiful Private Pool Suite, a one-bedroom villa with access to a private terrace, garden and 8.5m pool. The room is fitted with a king-sized bed and a large bathroom. Besides the usual amenities, the rooms also came with fitness wear which you could choose to use during your stay.
Plus, the bathroom was beautiful, all done in marble with a sunken bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers and a calming view of the garden.

The experience
Revivo means “to live again” in Latin. Before arriving at the resort, guests who are booked in for a minimum of three nights are asked to fill out a questionnaire to help create a personalised wellness plan. These can range from a one-day detox to more rigorous programs. Each individual that stays at REVĪVŌ is catered for differently with activities, treatments and nourishment. We signed up for the Cleanse & Detox Weekend program. My personalised program was focused on bringing more nourishing, alkaline-forming plant foods into my diet, while reducing the intake of acidic, toxin-rich foods.
Our stay started off with a cold-pressed juice and a meeting with their Retreat Consultant which was then followed by a yoga class. After that we were given a specially designed lunch consisting of fresh fish and vegetables. A massage was scheduled for the afternoon (best massage I’ve had in the longest time!) and the day ended with a session in one of their Hydro pools.

Food & drink
I’m not going to lie, I was expecting the food to be quite bland. But how wrong I was! Using the wealth of herbs that are native to the island, the team at REVĪVŌ were able to make every single dish stand out. Everything was very nutritious and the menu was wide-ranging and exciting; you had the choice from ordering high-protein meals to vegan dishes. There was something for everyone.
Our favourite part
We loved spending time at the main pool – such a beautiful and serene spot to relax with a book and your thoughts. Overall, I enjoyed our weekend stay at REVĪVŌ very much – it was the perfect place for a reboot. I would definitely come back… but stay a bit longer than a weekend.
