Expect kids of all ages (talking to you, too, longtime Disney buffs) to flock to Orchard Road, Tanglin Road and Scotts Road this year to see the spectacular Disney-themed festive displays. You’re right to guess that Frozen will feature in this, but there will also be Toy Story, the Disney princesses and the Mouse himself. The light-up ceremony at Plaza Singapura will kick off a series of pop-ups. Plus, the Christmas Village (shopping!) at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza starts from 15 November.
#2 Have a damn good Beef Sukiyaki Don

In September, the mastermind behind one of Singapore’s most famous ramen chains added a new concept to its series of outlets – and you didn’t even know! Beef Sukiyaki Don Keisuke is dedicated to the dish in its name; it offers only two menu items: the standard but delicious beef sukiyaki don, and the indulgent Kiwami wagyu sukiyaki don. There are only 14 seats available in the establishment, so expect a queue.

#3 Celebrate Deepavali

Where: Little India arcade
Every year, the Hindu festival of lights makes Little India even more colourful than it already is, and there’s plenty more for tourists and shoppers to see/buy. There will be night bazaars and stalls selling Indian sweets at the The Deepavali Festival Village, which runs until 6 November on the stretch between Campbell Lane and Hastings Road. The street decorations will stay up until 25 November.

#4 Send the kids on a horticultural adventure

You can always count on Gardens by the Bay to fill your calendars. This month, kids can get in on some fun with a garden adventure, where they will learn more about plants, flowers and trees through a series of activities and interactive games. #5 Camp out under the stars

You’ve probably been to the zoo before, but have you stayed overnight? Families get to spend a day with a guided tour of the zoo, a behind-the-scenes look at how the zoo is run, night safari tram ride, and a cosy campfire gathering before going to sleep in a tent (not in the tiger’s enclosure, we assure you). Don’t forget your mosquito repellent. There is limited availability, so book fast!
#6 Enjoy these concerts
