The basics
This five-bedroom villa is set around a central pool and surrounded by soothing garden views. It’s done out in traditional Thai style, with warm wooden interiors and traditional peaked roofs. The pavilions are all laid out on one level.
Who it’s for
Motsamot is perfect for a family getaway – there’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, great open-air living areas for meals and relaxation, and separate pavilions so you can escape whenever you need to for a bit of alone time. The central pool is great for kids.

Location
At Motsamot you’re just five minutes’ drive from the famous Choeng Mon beach. Choeng Mon has some of the best, finest sand in Samui, and a bustling high street with restaurants and shops. Motsamot is a ten-minute drive from the popular Chaweng beach and nightlife stretch.

The best bits
It’s just a warm, unpretentious villa – there’s nothing fussy or overdone about Motsamot (so, perfect if you have kids that run around all day and crash into things). The abundance of greenery lends it a soothing vibe, and there’s just so. Much. Space.
Food & drink
One thing you must do – book the inhouse chef. The Thai menu is excellent, from standards like tom yam and green curry to proper som tam (when we tried it, the papaya salad was gone in seconds). The spice level can be adjusted to your palate, but ask for recommendations and don’t be shy about special requests!
