So, you’re going to Phuket, and you want to worry about nothing. Outside of never leaving your own villa, there’s pretty much nowhere better to be than on one of the island’s beach clubs if you want to laze all day, eat spectacular food, get just a little too tipsy on cocktails and then let your feet loose and dance the night away. Navigating Phuket’s beach club scene though can be daunting. We’re going to take care of you, however, and tell you exactly which clubs you need to be at. In no particular order, here are some of the best beach clubs in Phuket.
Catch Beach Club

Catch is a favourite hang-out spot out for locals and visitors alike. This is the kind of place you could bring your kids too (though maybe just during the day) thanks to Catch Junior Beach Club. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, a sizeable canopy-covered bar, sun loungers, a small splash pool and a selection of poolside salas. The place really comes to life at night while still maintaining a relaxed and sophisticated vibe.

Dream Beach Club

Part of NYC’s Dream brand, Dream is one of the largest beach clubs in all of Thailand. There are two swimming pools, four bars and over 100 sun loungers! The music is super chill – mostly smooth R&B, jazz and chill-out tracks, setting the tone for a relaxing day – and the menu of international cuisine and signature cocktails is seriously impressive.
Dream hosts tons of events, so plan your trip accordingly!

Baba Beach Club
What: Baba, which is managed by Sri Panwa, is ultra-luxe. The club has 200-metres of beach frontage, and it’s beautiful to look at – the decor is very Phuket Old Town with its Sino-Portuguese heritage. It’s perfect for those who love a heavy bass and definitely the club for those looking to enjoy a bit of debauchery.
It also is home to one of our favourite restaurants in Phuket.

Café del Mar

What: If you want to be where the locals are (because let’s face it – they really know where the best places are), spend a lazy afternoon in the pool of this Ibiza-themed beach club. Cafe Del Mar is all about the sophisticated party life. Here, catch the sunset sinking into the Andaman, and dance into the darkness. This is the place to see and be seen in Phuket.

Blue Siam Beach Club

With the terrace right on the beach and shaded by a plethora of palm trees, Blue Siam is Thai-owned and truly feels it; Thai statues dot the property. It’s also a bit more interesting to look at than the average club – it’s constructed from old shipping containers. With smooth Latin sounds playing throughout, and skilfully crafted cocktails, Blue Siam is a quiet and chill place to spend the day.

Iguana Beach Club

Iguana Beach Club is a seriously chilled-out venue. The club is located on a tiny and exclusive beach located between Kalim and Kamala Beaches and is named after an iguana-shaped rock. It’s incredibly beautiful too. The beach is 20 metres long and flanked by granite boulders, meaning tranquillity is the name of the game. There’s not much in the way of food, but the drinks are amazing.

Kudo Beach Club

In the middle of Patong Beach, Kudo Beach Club is a mellow beach lounge by day, though things can get rowdy as the sun sets. The location is well known for its beach party atmosphere, and there are resident DJs who play here throughout the day.

XANA Beach Club

Within Angsana Laguna Phuket, XANA is a classic California-style beach club and is home to Asia’s longest swim-up bar. On Bang Tao beach, grab a cabana or pool lounger or just head straight down to the sea. XANA loves its cocktails, and we especially love all the Mediterranean food (+ the Thai and European dishes).

Coast Beach Club & Bistro Phuket

Right on Karon Beach, COAST is part of the Centara Grand Beach Resort, but open to non-guests. This spot has a super chill, laidback vibe for the traveller with no cares, but a decent chunk of change. Spend your day on the pristine beach or on a couch with a long drink in your hand and all the fresh food you could desire.

M Beach Club

M Beach Club is a place of sheer lazy decadence. The atmosphere is one of comfort, with lots of sheltered spots to relax in, delicious cocktails and plenty of live music. The bass is not as intense here as it is at many clubs, so you might actually be able to fall asleep on the sand (if that’s what you want).

Bonus: Blue Tree Phuket

Blue Tree might not technically be a beach club – but it is a club with a “lagoon” (it’s human-made). There is a wide range of facilities like a lifestyle retail mall, 17 restaurants, aquatic activities, fitness centre and yoga retreat. We especially love the zipline that goes over the lagoon, and the kids will love all the slides. It’s a great family-friendly destination.
