A Bullet Train Will Go From Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, But Not Anytime Soon

We’re all buzzing about the news of a bullet train that will travel from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. Sharing in the excitement, Malaysian prime minister said during a news appearance, “One can have breakfast in Kuala Lumpur, lunch in Singapore, and be back in time for dinner in Kuala Lumpur.”

The idea for a bullet train between the two countries has been in the works since 2013. With plans finally signed off, the project is intended to be completed and running by 2026. But when it does finally officially launch, the take will take only 90 minutes to get to its destination. With the current airtime of 45 minutes, not including the long walk to one’s gate in KLIA 2, the journey will make travelling with kids much easier. Now that’s something we can all be excited about.

So pack your bags.
