Location
Baan Chao Lay is on Koh Samui’s quiet Western Coast and the white sands of Lipa Noi – one of the island’s few year-round swimmable beaches. Western positioning is perfect for enjoying the island’s sunsets.
The villa is ten minutes from the ferry port of Nathon, where you can find markets and plenty of local restaurants. It is also 35-kilometres from the airport.
What’s nearby
The area around Baan Chao Lay may be quiet and the beach as Instagram-worthy as they come, but there is plenty else in the area to enjoy. Several restaurants and cafés are a five-minute drive from the villa. The attractions in the Lipa Noi and neighbouring Taling Ngam region include the Samui Zipline, Na Mueang Waterfalls and Secret Buddha Garden.

Food & drink

The bedrooms
Each of Baan Chao Lay’s five bedrooms is spacious, with high, vaulted ceilings, king-sized beds and sitting areas. Four of the bedrooms are housed in two pavilions on either side of the villa’s fish pond, with the fifth looking out to the ocean.
The master bedroom – which looks out onto the ocean – features such luxuries as the ensuite bathroom with stand-alone rain shower & bathtub and dual vanity. It also comes with a lounge area and direct access to a private terrace. The lounge area is so large that you can arrange for in-room spa treatments.
The other four bedrooms also feature ensuite bathrooms with stand-alone rain showers, lounge areas and private terraces.
The best bits
The 12 x 5-metre pool looks directly out onto the beach and features this gorgeous hot tub. Six sun loungers also guarantee excellent relaxation time.
